CYC, or Christian Youth Camp is taking place between 3rd and 10th August 2024, at Urban Saints Stoke Fleming Camp Site near Dartmouth in Devon.

The camp aims to provide a friendly Christian atmosphere to promote spiritual growth and an understanding of what it means to be a Christian. We also enjoy a variety of activities both onsite and offsite. The cost of all activities is covered in the camp cost of £125.

I would like to know more first.......

Who is CYC for?
CYC is for young people aged 9-17 years.
Leaders age 17 and over and leaders' children who are under 9 are welcome but will be the responsibility of their parents.

What happens at camp?CYC youth camp archery
On site there will great non-stop activities, or just relax and enjoy the view!
There are meetings each morning and evening for singing, praise, prayer and Christian teaching.

Senior meetings include great talks and spirit led ministry where young people learn to hear from God and experience the Holy Spirit at work.

Junior meetings include lively praise songs and the gospel presented in fun way with games and drama.

There will be two off-site activity days but we will decide which activities to provide depending on your preferences. The costs are included in the price. Activities include canoeing and bushcraft, coasteering, a visit to Dartmouth, surfing, a trip to Woodlands Theme Park, archery, caving, plus shopping and beach trips.

Where do I sleep?
Campers sleep in tents of 4-8. Their 2 leaders sleep in tents close by. The tent meet morning and evening for quiet times including sharing, prayer and bible study.

Are there showers?
There is a toilet / wash block with toilets, sinks and showers available.

What to bring?
Bible 
Notebook and pen
Torch
Training shoes or similar (plus spares)
Wellington boots 
Waterproofs
Warm clothing for evenings
Sleeping bag, warm blanket and pillow
Air bed, camp bed or carry mat
Please label ALL items with your name.

Camp fees (per person) £125
(Under 9s and 3rd or 4th members of same family cost £63. Under 3 free.)

Child protection
CYC operates a safeguarding policy which is available on request. Two leaders will be available for campers to share confidential concerns and deal with any child protection issues that arise. A leader will accompany young people under 12 going off site.
12-16’s to be in a pair or group.

Camp Rules: 
Smoking, alcohol and bad language will not be allowed. Mobile phone and MP3 player use will be restricted and there will be no charging facilities for campers.
