Ladies Breakfast
The next Ladies Breakfast will be at St Philip's Church Centre on Saturday 22nd April.
Starting at 8am, enjoy a continental breakfast with friends and listen to our speaker Ceridwen Owen.
Ceridwen Owen grew up in Wales, struggled with life, and took solace in her imagination. Her passion for animals eventually led to a degree in Zoology and a PhD in sheep. At this time, a set of circumstances made life seem unbearable and silently she cried out in despair and Jesus answered her with overwhelming clarity. A transformation began then, and still continues today, as she prays, studies the Bible and is constantly inspired by God.
Now settled in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, she has been married for 28 years with two, more or less, grown up children and loves climbing mountains with her husband.
Ceridwen’s first novel “Martha Martha” was born out of a lesson she wrote for teenagers at church. Identifying with the busy minor character of Martha, from the Bible, she found herself drawn into an intriguing story, full of unanswered questions.
Inspired, Ceridwen felt compelled to bring Martha’s story to life, exploring the complex relationship she had with her sister and brother and their friend Yeshua; a teacher who would turn their world upside down.
Tickets for the event are £13, available from Sally Skakel, 07870 856826 or click here to email
