Baptism
"Each man must give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:7-8 (NIV)

We believe that giving is a form of worship to God. It is a fundamental part of our faith, and a practical demonstration of the priority we give Him in our lives.

Just as in Bible times, when they used to place their offerings on the altar before God, we are all called to bring our tithes and offerings into the temple.

While there are principles given in the Bible about the amount we should give (the Bible suggests 10% and the Church of England asks for 5%), this is always a personal decision between us and God.

We are encouraged to give realistically, joyfully, prayerfully, and sacrificially, out of our dedication to Him and our desire to share His love with those in need.

There may be times when it is impossible to give a tenth to God, but there will also be times when we can give more.

Listening to God is the important thing and we are all called to work out how God is asking us to give as we respond to His grace and love.

Our church gives away 10% of all its income to charities and those involved in missionary work around the world.

The underlying principle is generosity. God loves a cheerful giver!
