Booking is now open for our Walk Through the Bible Old Testament day on Saturday 17 April 2010, starting at 9.30 am for 9.45 am, and finishing at 5 pm, at St Philip’s Church, Manor Road, Dorridge.
Tickets are £15 each, which includes a Seminar Manual and drinks, and you can pick up a booking form from the Parish Office. Children aged 11 to 15 are welcome to attend and there is no fee for them.
Duncan Hill Brown, Vicar, says:
“Walk Through the Bible takes a hands-on approach to getting the whole story of the Bible, from beginning to end, in your head in a way that it is easy to remember, and to see how God’s story intersects with our story.
“This is an event that’s very relevant to people, from the age of 11 up to 90 +, and we will leave the day feeling better equipped to read the Bible and apply the stories to our lives.
“It’s also an enjoyable, fun thing to do together as a church family, as we spend this year drawing closer to God and reflecting on God’s word in the Bible."
Walk Through the Bible ministries say: “In church we usually look at small passages in the Bible and apply them to our daily lives. This is essential, but how often do we take a step back and look at the big picture?...We guarantee that by the time you complete your Walk Through the Old Testament…you’ll see how the Old Testament books of history, poetry and prophecy relate to each other, and that together they predict and portray Jesus Christ, 'the same yesterday, today and forever' (Hebrews 13.8).”
